Heniarth Shang a Lang

Shang-A-Lang comes from a great line of Champions, being a great granddaughter of Sunwillow Quest who is the dam of 4 Royal Welsh winners. Quest herself was Reserve young stock and female champion at the Royal Welsh in 1985. She held the record price at Fayre Oaks for 10 years after being bought by the Heniarth stud in 1994 for 4,500gns.
Sunwillow Yasmin is Shang-A-Lang's grandmother, she was Reserve Female Champion at the 2000 Royal Welsh.
Shang-A-Lang's dam, Heniarth Yippeeayeyeah has been very successful at Heniarth. She has been shown in hand being 1st at the Royal Welsh Winter fair in the 2/3yr Old filly class and 6 th at the 2007 RWAS in the junior brood mare class. She has also been very successful under saddle, qualifying for the Horse of the Year in the open ridden. 1st at the National Welsh and Part bred show taking the Novice open and Novice Mini Championships. 1st section A, First ridden and reserve Mountain and Moorland at Pontardulais show and Mini champion at Brecon WPCS performance show.
Shang-A-Lang is half sister to Heniarth Shooglenifty who is still at the Heniarth stud. She is unshown to date.
Her grand sire Roseisle Pandy Tudyr, is the top sire of leading rein and first ridden ponies in the 2000 WPCS performance sire ratings. He is the sire of mountain and moorland Champion and reserve Welsh Champion of Champions, Horse of the year show 2001. Sire of 6 horse of the year show qualifiers 2002, sire of 5 horse of the year show qualifiers in 2005 in first ridden, open M& M and Show hunter pony and in 2007 he is the sire of four ponies who have qualified for the Horse of the Year Show. He has recently been awarded the Welsh Pony & Cob Society Lead Rein/First Ridden Sire Performance Award .
